How does the WBSO realization notification work?

How does the WBSO realization notification work?

Did you receive a WBSO declaration for your project last year? Then it's time to report the realization again. If you make use of the WBSO, this entails a number of obligations. One of these obligations is the requirement to file a WBSO realization report after the end of the calendar year. As usual, in the first quarter of the following year you submit your hours realized and any costs and expenses incurred. Are you a client of ours? No worries, we take care of this completely.

Who does the WBSO realization notification?

You are always required to make a notification, unless you are self-employed or have a sole proprietorship and have made more than 500 R&D hours. In that case, you may omit the notification. In all other cases you have to report. Do you not do this or do it too late? Then the RVO assumes that you have not realized any R&D hours (and any costs and expenses). You may be fined. Important to take into account!

Here's what to consider

Recently, the application system has changed. A WBSO project always runs until the end of the calendar year. Do you have several WBSO projects running simultaneously? Then you can shift hours in the realization. For example, if you are hours short in one project and you have worked many more hours on the other project, you may shift these hours. In the realization, the RFO asks for the total number of hours of the projects added together.
