Who is the WBSO intended for?
That is perhaps the best thing about the WBSO subsidy, it is available to almost all entrepreneurs, sole proprietors and ZZPs. Because ZZP'ers or sole proprietors generally do not have employees, the WBSO subsidy is also not calculated as a deduction from the payroll tax payment. Instead, you receive an additional deduction. This way, ZZP'ers or sole proprietors can still benefit from this WBSO subsidy scheme!

There are two methods for offsetting the WBSO:
Fixed-sum method
Under the fixed-sum method, the applicant receives a payroll tax rebate based on the hours spent on the project. The rebate is based on a rough estimate of the average wage costs an entrepreneur (irrespective of the specific business sector) will incur in carrying out R&D.
Actual costs and expenses
The second method is that you choose the actual costs and expenses incurred. Here the additional amount is based on an estimate of the costs and expenses to be incurred for the purpose of the innovation project. Example are costs incurred to purchase materials for the innovative idea. Important here is that these costs are 1:1 attributable to the WBSO project.
Note: The choice of either the fixed-sum method or the actual costs and expenses will be fixed for the entire calendar year at the time of the first application.

Frequently Asked Questions
Then check out our blog on suitable grant projects. After that, do you still have no idea if your project is suitable? Then get in touch and we'll discuss it together.
For providing our services, we charge 15% of the grant amount. We work on a no cure, no pay basis: if you do not receive the subsidy, you owe us nothing.
We will always try to submit an application together that is as promising as possible. Of course, there is always a chance that your project will raise questions with the RVO, or that it will eventually be rejected. We will do our best to answer the questions of the RVO to ensure that the project has as much chance of success as possible. This way of working has ensured that we get very few rejections, after years of being in the business. If our customer does get a rejection, we will not send an invoice as we work based on no cure, no pay. We will then come over to look at other subsidy possibilities and simply try again.
